Dawn Mattocks is an accomplished makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist who was originally born and raised in the Motor City. She attended Art School in Los Angeles at Otis Parson School of Design and found her passion as a makeup artist early on. She splits her time between Michigan and California and works as a makeup artist and hair stylist in the entertainment industry. Her latest film and television credits include Scream 4, A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas and NBC’s The Biggest Loser, and Fox on NFL Sports.
Throughout her career, her client list include, Dita Von Tees, Kid Rock, T I, Tommy Lee, basketball extraordinaire Earvin “Magic “ Johnson, NFL host, Daryl “Moose” Johnston, the legendary creator of Spiderman, Stan Lee, and many talented rising stars such as Arielle Kebbel, Sara Drew, Seamus Dever, Zachary Knighton, Erik Knudsen, and the alluring, Mena Suvari, known for her role in American Beauty.
She has worked along side fashion & celebrity photographers: Davis Factor, Tim Richardson, Lance Staedler, Darren Michaels and Robyn Twomey. Dawn continues to strive for success, often working on national television commercials, including spots for Chevrolet, Ford, Lincoln Mercury, Nissan, Toyota and print campaigns for Eddie Bauer, Bally and Sony.
Often been referred to as a visionary with a makeup brush, she has kept many shoots together with her ability to communicate and problem solve. Her touch is impeccably soft, and her makeup is known to have a flawless finish.
